SGT Kerry Burkhart

I’m Sergeant Kerry James Burkhart and I’m a guitar player in the 36th Infantry Division Band/Texas National Guard. My hometown is Syracuse, NY and I joined the active duty army from there in 2006. While on active duty, I served with the 1st Infantry Division Band in Fort Riley, KS from 2009-2011. I also served with the 8th Army Band in Yongsan, South Korea from 2011-2012. After leaving the active duty army I joined the Texas National Guard Band in 2013. I also served in the Michigan National Guard Band from 2021-2022 before moving back to Texas. My family includes my wife, Martha, our two-year old son, Gael, and our dog, Ginger.
