SGT Rodolfo Castro

SGT Rodolfo “Rudy” Castro began his military career in February 2015 as a member of the 36th Infantry Division Band of the Texas Army National Guard. SGT Castro graduated on the Commandant’s List from the Army School of Music’s Advanced Individual Training Course in August 2015.

As a member of the 36th Infantry Division Band, SGT Castro has served primarily as a 9D French Horn player with a Charlie-1 identifier. He currently doubles as a French Horn and Trumpet player for the Heart of Texas Brass. He has also performed on trumpet in the Half Right Brass Band and serves as the French Horn Section leader in the “Lone Star” Concert Band. SGT Castro earned his B.M. in Music Education from Texas State University in 2014. He is currently a Service Relationship Manager with Advisor Wealth Services at Charles Schwab and Company. Prior to his time in Finance, he was a Band Director in Arlington ISD and Austin ISD. He currently lives in Arlington, TX with his wife, Jillian Attan-Castro, and their Son, RJ, and Daughter, Noemi.
