Staff Sergeant Adam Haggerty enlisted in 2003 from Cedar Park, Texas, into the U.S. Army, where he served on active duty with the 389th Army Band, AMC’s Own, for over five years. During his time with AMC’s Own, SSG Haggerty performed as a tuba player in the Brass Quintet and held positions as a supply clerk, admin clerk, operations clerk, and unit armorer. After a brief break in service, he enlisted with the 36th Infantry Division Band and has served for 11 years as a tuba player in the Brass Quintet, Brass Band, and Tuba and Euphonium Quartet. SSG Haggerty is currently the Assistant Team Leader for the Texas Tubas Tuba and Euphonium Quartet as well as a unit squad leader. In 2024, SSG Haggerty became the 36th ID’s full-time Supply Sergeant. 

SSG Haggerty earned an Associate of Applied Science in Neurodiagnostic Technology from Alvin Community College. He was the Lead EEG Technologist at Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center for many years in Cypress, Texas, before moving with his family to Buda. In 2024, SSG Haggerty became the 36th ID Band’s full-time Supply Sergeant. SSG Haggerty is married to his lovely wife and has two kids, a daughter at Texas State University and a son in the United States Marine Corps.
