SGT Peter Johannigman

Sergeant Peter Johannigman began his military career in February 2014 as a member of the 36th Infantry Division Band of the Texas Army National Guard. Johannigman graduated on the Commandant’s List from Basic Leader’s Course in June 2022.

As a member of the 36th Infantry Division Band, SGT Johannigman has served primarily as a euphonium player. He is the euphonium section leader and a member of the band’s Tuba-Euphonium quartet, The Texas Tubas. He has also performed for several ceremonies and parades on tuba and plays trumpet for military funeral honors. SGT Johannigman currently serves as a member of the production crew, setting up and operating sound equipment for live performances and recording projects.

SGT Johannigman earned his B.A. in Cognitive Sciences from Rice University in 2013 and his B.M. in Music Education from Sam Houston State University in 2018. He works as a middle school band director in New Braunfels, TX, where he lives with his wife, Allie.
