SPC James Quintero

SPC Quintero enlisted in 2021 as a 42R Musician with the 36th Infantry Division Band in Austin, TX. He currently performs in the unit’s Concert Band, Rhythm & Boots, and Marching Band. His military education includes the Army School of Music.

In civilian life, SPC Quintero is a dedicated band director at Poteet High School in Poteet, TX. He holds a Bachelor’s in Music Education from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master’s in Music Performance from Texas State University.

He currently lives in Devine, TX, and is a proud husband to his wife Hannah and father to his son Samson. SPC Quintero enjoys spending time with his family, cooking healthy meals, and staying active in his faith as a musician for Yancey Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Yancey, TX.
