SGT JESSICA WEISS

Sergeant Jessica Weiss enlisted in 2013 as a 27D Paralegal with the U.S. Army Reserve, serving in the 176th Medical Brigade in Seagoville, TX, until 2020. In 2021, she re-enlisted into the Texas Army National Guard with the 36th Infantry Division Band at Camp Mabry, where she now serves primarily on French horn and secondarily on trumpet. She spent three years performing in the R&B band before joining the brass quintet.

Her military education includes the Basic Leader Course, where she earned recognition on the Commandant’s List. SGT Weiss holds a master’s degree in Advertising from the University of Texas. She lives with her young son in San Marcos, TX, and works at Texas State University as the Senior Marketing and Assessment Coordinator for the Department of Campus Recreation.
