SGT Christopher Wright
SGT Christopher Wright enlisted in 2007 as a 42R with the 36th ID Band, where he currently serves as a trumpet player. He has performed in the Brass Band, R&B Band, Rock Band, Brass Quintet, Concert Band, and Drill Band, and has served as Bugler for many ceremonies.
His military education includes the Basic Leader Course in Ball, LA, and the Advanced Leadership Course at the US Army School of Music at NAB Little Creek, VA. In 2008 and again in 2023, he earned the Charlie One Additional Skills Identifier for excellence as a trumpet player.
In civilian life, SSG Wright works as a Band Director for Haskell CISD in Haskell, TX. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Texas in Music Education.
He currently lives between Haskell and Graham, TX, with his wife of 25 years, Kimberly. He enjoys many outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, marksmanship, and traveling to visit his four grown daughters and two grandchildren.
